Situated on Hasselö Island in the Tjust Archipelago, this hostel is only accessible by boat. It provides a fully equipped guest kitchen and communal TV lounge. A sandy beach is 200 metres away. Spread over 2 buildings, all rooms at Hasselö Hostel have basic furnishings and shared bathroom facilities. Shared laundry and BBQ facilities are available. Hasselö's on-site Restaurant Sjökanten is open during summer. At other seasons, meals are available on pre-order for groups. There is also a café and grocery store nearby. Both are open during summer season. Two bookable, outdoor wooden hot tubs are available on the island, and there is also a rentable sauna. Activities available include mini golf, beach volley, fishing, horse wagon and tractor tours. Rental of kayaks, bicycles and motor boats can be arranged. Staff also helps to arrange boat transfers to the island. During summer daily boats depart from Västervik and at other times smaller boats leave from Gränsö Canal. When the ice is bearing, transport is by hovercraft or snowmobile. Astrid Lindgren’s World is 55 km away and Sladö Nature Reserve is 4 km from Hasselö Hostel.
